What Requires HOA Approval?

Exterior Paint (Approval Required)

Any exterior paint color change requires Architectural Review Committee (ARC) approval. This includes:

Interior Paint (No Approval Needed)

You can paint interior walls any color without HOA approval. Interior murals, wallpaper, and decorating are entirely up to you. HOA rules apply only to what's visible from the street or common areas.

Exterior Murals (Rarely Allowed)

Exterior murals visible from the street are typically not approved in Celebration. The community maintains traditional architectural aesthetics. Interior murals in kids rooms or home theaters don't require approval.

Approved Exterior Paint Colors

Celebration HOA provides approved color palettes that fit the community's design standards. Colors vary by architectural style and village:

General Guidelines

• Neutral tones: Whites, creams, soft grays, beiges, tans
• Historic pastels: Pale yellow, soft blue, sage green (style-dependent)
• Earth tones: Terracotta, warm browns (Mediterranean or Spanish styles)
• Avoid: Bright colors, neon, dark colors (navy, black, deep red)

Each architectural style (Coastal, Colonial, Mediterranean, Victorian, etc.) has specific approved palettes. Request the color chart from your ARC before selecting paint.

Trim & Accent Colors

Trim, shutters, and doors typically use white, cream, or colors from the approved palette. Bold accent colors (bright red door, turquoise shutters) usually aren't approved unless they match your home's original approved design.

HOA Approval Process
